Raymond Unocic

Raymond Unocic is a Senior R&D Staff Scientist, Group Leader of the Materials MicroAnalysis group, and Directed Nanoscale Transformations Theme Science Leader at the Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences. His research expertise is focused on the development and application of advanced in-situ characterization methods and also the utilization of aberration-corrected STEM/EELS/EDS to probe the atomic-scaled structure, chemistry, and defects of materials to elucidate nanomaterial functionality.

Director, Founder, and CEO

Mitra-Picture_edited.jpg
Sushanta Mitra

Sushanta Mitra is the Executive Director of the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology and a Professor in Mechanical & Mechatronics Engineering, University of Waterloo. He has made outstanding contributions to the theoretical understanding of microfluidics and nanofluidics pertinent to flows of liquids and ions. These have led to groundbreaking discoveries of under-liquid wetting relevant to materials discovery. The innovative applications of his research for energy, water, and health have profound impact in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increased access to clean water, and rapid disease monitoring for improved health outcomes.
